Review: Blind-sided

Blind-sided
Blind-sided by T. Hammond
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

One of the things I love the best about author T. Hammond is the way she writes her characters. They are so multifaceted and full of depth that they really come alive. Reading one of her stories really draws a reader in, and you feel like you are part of a conversation with old friends. Of course, how could you not like Red, the precocious German shepherd dog?

This is book 5 of the series, and I appreciated that there was no major, horrible event in this story. Poor Teresa – I think she needed a break after the two harrowing ordeals from previous books. This story seems more about the dynamics between the characters, and how the Mustangs function along with PreClan. I feel I have a better rapport with all of the main characters, as well as the supporting players. Of course I loved the cliff-hanger at the end. But sheesh! I will be waiting somewhat impatiently for the next installment….

On another note, I LOVED the short story Blush included at the end. I had first read this story in the Shades of Pink 2 anthology. I appreciated the subtle additions to this version, and I am over the moon about Gil and Ash!
